About the Position
Vice President, Insights
We are seeking a Vice President, Insights with 10+ years of experience in the CPG industry to lead our manufacturer client in identifying growth pathways. This is a Hybrid position requiring 2 days a week onsite in New Providence, NJ.

We are looking for a Vice President, Insights to lead the manufacturer client, bringing a high level of strategic thought leadership, industry perspective, and consultative partnership to help the client identify and act on the strongest pathways to growth across OTC and Personal Care.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of analytics / insights associates successfully; guiding, coaching, and developing team members; providing them with timely feedback and recognition on performance to ensure the team demonstrates high standards of performance and professional competencies.
- Partner closely with cross-functional peers and the Account Director to elevate the client experience, align on joint business goals, and ensure NIQ is bringing forward integrated, value-creating solutions.
- Lead the team in listening deeply to client needs, pressure-testing the true business question, and translating those needs into the right analytic path rather than simply taking prescriptions from the client.
- Own and lead key client meeting responsibilities by bringing elevated insights, commercial perspective, and relevant industry trends across OTC, Personal Care, consumer behavior, retail dynamics, and category growth opportunities.
- Own cross-category insights that connect performance across the business, helping the client identify total risks, opportunities, and strategic priorities that inform stronger decision-making.
- Grow executive-level engagement by acting as a strategic dot connector who synthesizes client priorities, marketplace trends, consumer signals, and NIQ capabilities into clear, compelling recommendations.
- Inspire and guide the team to identify pathways to growth for the client, building stories that move beyond reporting to deliver actionable implications, strategic choices, and client-ready recommendations.
- Be present onsite at the client site a minimum of two days per week to deepen partnership, strengthen day-to-day collaboration, and stay closely connected to emerging client priorities.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in the CPG industry, with meaningful experience in OTC, Personal Care, Health & Wellness, or adjacent consumer categories preferred.
- At least 5 years' experience leading teams and ability to coach others in data analysis.
- Strong stakeholder management experience with complex client relationships, including the ability to build trust, influence senior stakeholders, and elevate the quality of strategic partnership.
- Demonstrated ability to use data analytics, consumer insights, retail dynamics, and industry context to drive brand building, marketing, merchandising, innovation, and growth strategy.
- Experience working with syndicated tools (NielsenIQ or Circana, or similar panel, RMS/POS, scan data).
- Proven track record of building client engagement through thought leadership, consultative problem solving, and the ability to connect business questions to high-impact analytic solutions.
- Ability and willingness to work onsite at the client site a minimum of two days per week.
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree.
