Visitor Guide (m/f/d) at the Jewish Museum in Munich

About the Position

We are looking for a Visitor Guide (m/f/d) to join our team at the Jewish Museum in Munich. Engage with visitors, lead tours, and expand your knowledge in Jewish history.

Responsibilities

• Welcome visitors at the information desk, providing information about our museum and our programs, and offering advice on specific questions and concerns
• Give brief introductions to our exhibitions for individual visitors
• Lead tours and workshops for various target groups as part of the museum’s education team

Requirements

• Enjoy working with people and sharing knowledge
• Present complex topics in a concise and clear manner and respond spontaneously to a variety of questions
• Solid background in Jewish history, religion, and culture with an interest in expanding your knowledge
• Speak German and English at the C1 level (knowledge of other foreign languages is desirable)
• Enrolled as a student for at least 1.5 years

What to look forward to

• Duration: Long-term position, at least 6 months
• Workload: 4–10 hours per week; schedule based on availability
• Location: Munich
• Regular training sessions on various topics (teaching methods, Jewish history and culture, anti-Semitism, migration, etc.)
