About the Role
We are seeking a VMware Administrator for our team in Mainz, specializing in managing VMware infrastructure in modern data centers.
Responsibilities
- Administration of the VMware infrastructure at the customer's site in modern data centers
- Creation, configuration, and deployment of virtual systems
- Installation, setup, and configuration of server environments
- Documentation and monitoring of open requests in the ticket system
- Planning and execution of release changes
- Development of existing environments
- Second-level support: Handling of end-user disruptions according to standardized procedures or providing individual assistance
Requirements
- Successfully completed vocational training in the IT sector, or comparable qualification
- Experience in data center operations and/or in IT security and system management
- Certification in the VMware field or comparable certification
- Enthusiasm for new technologies and agile collaboration
- Good knowledge of current Microsoft Windows operating systems (desirable)
- Willingness to continuously learn, attending internal and external training sessions or training measures
- Goal-oriented, independent, and solution-oriented work with a passion for challenges
- Very good German language skills in speech and writing (C1)
