About the Position

Werkstudent (w/m/d) - IT-Support & Collaboration Tooling

Location: Regensburg, Germany

IONOS is not just managing servers; we are shaping the digital future for over 6.2 million customers worldwide with our solutions. As Europe's leading hosting provider and pioneer of independent cloud solutions, we are building next-generation infrastructure: from sovereign cloud architectures and high-performance GPU clusters to integrated AI automation tools.

Join our GITS team (Global IT Support) in Regensburg, where we ensure smooth operations at all German locations. We are looking for someone who not only studies technology but also applies it and enjoys working with people.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with hardware, software, accounts, and permissions, such as setting up laptops, workstations, and access.
  • Be part of our Global 1st & 2nd Level IT Support and the first point of contact for our customers, whether via ticket, chat, or in person.
  • Receive and analyze technical inquiries, solve problems yourself, or pass them on to the right experts in a structured manner.
  • Serve as the interface between business and IT, understanding the needs of different departments, translating their requirements into technical solutions, and explaining IT topics in an understandable way.
  • Work daily with Jira Service Management and Confluence, documenting solutions, and gaining practical experience in modern IT service management.
  • Gain real insights into cloud infrastructure, AI-supported work, and asset management.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a technical degree program for at least twelve months, e.g., Computer Science at a university or college (enrollment certificate required).
  • High self-organization, ability to set priorities independently, and a sense for the right time to ask questions.
  • Enjoy interacting with people, being helpful, and having a friendly demeanor even in hectic situations.
  • Ability to explain technical topics simply and understandably, and a sense for the needs of users.
  • Interest in AI and motivation to try out AI tools in everyday work.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, or other Atlassian tools is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Good German and solid English language skills in speech and writing.
  • Structured and engaging work style with attention to detail even when handling multiple tasks.

Working Hours: 20 hours/week during the semester, with the possibility of increasing hours during semester breaks.

We Offer

  • Flexible working hours through trust-based working time.
  • Subsidized canteen at some locations and various free drinks.
  • Modern office spaces with excellent transport links.
  • Various employee discounts for activities and products.
  • Employee events such as summer and winter parties, as well as workshops.
  • Numerous opportunities for further training and development.
  • Various health offers, such as sports and health courses.

At IONOS, we value diversity and welcome all applications – regardless of gender, nationality, ethnic and social origin, religion, disability, age, sexual orientation and identity, physical characteristics, marital status, or any other irrelevant criterion according to applicable law.
