About Us

We value diversity, not just on the farm! We believe that different perspectives and experiences enrich and strengthen our team. We promote an inclusive environment where everyone, regardless of background, gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, or religion, feels welcome and respected. Like each vegetable on the farm, everyone contributes their strengths to our mission.

Promoting appreciation for nature and food – Acker, a multiple award-winning social enterprise, advocates for this across the German-speaking region. Through innovative educational programs, Acker brings nature-based learning directly to where people live, learn, and work. The vegetable farm becomes a living learning and experience site for ecological connections and healthy nutrition. Since its founding in 2014, over 400,000 children have participated in Acker's educational programs. Today, more than 2,000 kindergartens, schools, universities, municipalities, companies, and care facilities are involved. Together with around 200 partners from business, foundations, prevention, and public sectors, Acker makes nature-based learning tangible.
