About the Company

Veolia Gebouwenbeheer operates a nationwide project bureau that supports multiple branches with smaller utility and sustainability projects, as well as larger projects across the country. We are expanding our team and are looking for an experienced Werkvoorbereider Werktuigbouwkunde (WTB) to join our project team and project leader. You will be responsible for the preparation and execution of diverse utility and sustainability projects throughout the Netherlands. Your technical insight, accuracy, and overview will make a difference in every phase of the project. In this role, you will combine calculation, project preparation, and project support. You will ensure that projects are optimally prepared: from survey and calculation to execution, procurement, and delivery.

Job Description

Your challenge as Werkvoorbereider:

• Preparing utility and sustainability projects in close collaboration with the project leader and the project team;
• Drafting and developing more and less work overviews, including associated quotations and calculations;
• Reviewing technical documents and investigating the feasibility of projects;
• Preparing procurement contracts, orders, and creating and maintaining schedules;
• Visiting projects on-site to stay connected with practical aspects and the needs of colleagues;
• Preparing and maintaining progress and costs throughout the duration of the projects;
• Checking drawings;
• Advising the team and the project leader and actively contributing to process optimizations.

The projects range from a fixed price to approximately €3.5 million and have a clear focus on utility construction within the Netherlands.

Job Requirements

For this position, you bring:

• A completed technical vocational or higher education degree, such as MIT, Mechanical Engineering, or Installation Technology;
• Relevant work experience as a project preparer in installation technology;
• Experience with cost estimates, more and less work, calculation programs, and various contract forms;
• Good communication skills and an accurate, structured working method;
• A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently;
• A valid driver's license B.
