Working Student HR (m/f/d)

About the Position

Sandbox Interactive, the ambitious game development studio behind the award-winning game Albion Online, is seeking a Working Student HR to join our HR team in Berlin. As a Working Student HR, you will support our HR department and contribute to the success of our award-winning game, Albion Online.

Responsibilities

• Support the recruitment process, including job postings, initial screening of applications, scheduling, and conducting interviews.
• Assist with onboarding and offboarding of employees.
• Help prepare payroll.
• Assist with research and project-related tasks (e.g., market analysis, HR projects, process optimizations).
• Provide administrative support to the HR department (employment contracts, contract changes, certifications, works council consultations, employment references, etc.).

Requirements

Minimum:

• Enrolled student (Bachelor/Master) in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Hands-on mentality and high level of commitment.
• Strong empathy, communication skills, assertiveness, and self-reflection.
• Structured, independent, and responsible work approach.
• Commitment and solution-oriented work approach.
• Basic knowledge of German labor law and data protection.
• Very good German skills (C1 level) and good English skills (B2 level) in speech and writing.

Preferred:

• Initial practical experience in HR, e.g., through internships or work-study positions.
• Good knowledge of HR management systems (e.g., Hibob, Teamtailor).
• Experience in a start-up environment or in the gaming industry is a plus.
• Affinity for gaming (especially MMORPGs).
