Job description

About the Position

We are looking for a Working Student (m/f/d) Developer Relations & Integrations to join our platform team. Gain hands-on experience building SaaS integrations using AI-first development. Develop connectors that connect real companies to tools like Slack, Salesforce, and beyond. Work with modern tech (TypeScript, APIs, message queues) and learn how professional software integrations work in an AI-driven workflow - with real code review and mentorship from an experienced team.

Responsibilities

  • Build new SaaS connectors in TypeScript (Bun + Elysia) to integrate platforms like Slack, Salesforce, and Atlassian into our platform.
  • Work with REST and GraphQL APIs; handle authentication, pagination, rate limits, and error cases.
  • Publish and consume events over RabbitMQ so services stay in sync and handle real-world distributed patterns.
  • Use AI coding agents (Claude Code, etc.) to write most connector code-your role is to verify, test, and refine against vendor APIs. Write tests and documentation.
  • Learn through code review, collaborate with the team, and grow your backend development skills in a real-world project.

Requirements

  • You are enrolled in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable program.
  • You have solid TypeScript skills and understand async/await, Node.js, and basic API concepts.
  • You are comfortable with Git and REST APIs; prior experience with GraphQL or message queues is helpful but not required.
  • You read documentation before guessing and are willing to learn from feedback and code review.
  • You can contribute 15–20 hours per week. Fluent English or German required.

Nice to Have

  • Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines (GitLab), or SQL/PostgreSQL experience.
  • Prior exposure to SaaS platforms or IT asset management.

We Offer

  • Sponsorship Program and individual Employee orientation plan and a groupwide Onboarding event.
  • USU-Bistro with reduced offers for lunch.
  • Bonus for employee recommendation.
  • 30 days vacation annually.
  • Employee discounts.
  • Water, Coffee, Tea & fruits are free of charge.
  • Flexible working hours, Sabbaticals, and open doors.
  • Familiar working atmosphere.

Locations

  • Aachen, Germany
  • Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Germany
  • Möglingen, Germany
