About the Position

We are seeking a dedicated Social Support Lawyer with legal education and experience to join our military support team in Ukraine.
Responsibilities
- Processing written appeals and preparing responses to inquiries received by the social work department;
- Preparing responses regarding the results of applications from disabled or partially disabled soldiers and family members of deceased soldiers for the payment of a one-time cash benefit;
- Forming informational references, requests to legal entities, institutions, and organizations on the support of wounded, released from captivity soldiers, family members of deceased, missing, and captured soldiers;
- Advising soldiers and their families on social and legal protection issues;
- Forming applications, reports, and other documents necessary for the support of wounded, released from captivity soldiers, family members of deceased, missing, and captured soldiers;
- Communicating with legal entities, institutions, and organizations to ensure social and legal protection of soldiers and their families;
- Performing other legal duties necessary for the social support of soldiers and their families.
Requirements
- Higher education (bachelor's, master's) in Law or International Law;
- Experience working as a lawyer (experience in military law is a plus);
- Proficient skills in using Microsoft Office;
- Skills in working with regulatory documents;
- Ability to work under time constraints and high workload;
- Willingness to continuously learn and develop;
- Discipline, integrity, and empathy.

At what age can one join the 12th Special Purpose Brigade "Azov"?
You can join the 12th Special Purpose Brigade "Azov" of the 1st Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine "Azov" from the age of 18.
How long does the basic combat training course last?
The basic combat training course lasts approximately 6-8 weeks. We pay close attention to the training of personnel, carefully training recruits and preparing them to carry out combat tasks. For the NGU "Azov" brigade, the professionalism and cohesion of the unit, as well as the value of each individual soldier, have always been a priority.
If transferred to the unit, do you need to complete the basic combat training course?
Servicemen joining our brigade by transfer must pass the entry control standards. If the standards are not passed, it is necessary to complete the basic combat training course.
What type of contract and for how long?
Contracts until the decree on demobilization. Mobilization until the end of the state of war is also available. If a recruit is transferred from another unit where they have a signed contract, that contract is transferred to the 12th Brigade "Azov" of the NGU.
What documents are required?
- Copy of passport (all pages), if ID card, then also the appendix;
- Copy of tax identification number;
- Original conscription / military ticket (must be registered with the military enlistment office);
- Photos 3×4 - 4 pcs., 9×12 - 2 pcs. Photos must be matte, without corners, and in the form of cartoons (you can have them taken at a photo studio);
- Copy of diploma/certificate of education, if available (secondary specialized, higher) + appendix with grades;
- Details of personal account (preferably PrivatBank or Oschadbank), the card must be "For payments";
- Certificate of no criminal record from the MIA (Full).
Is there a contract 18-24 in Azov?
Yes. The contract 18-24 is available for signing in the 12th Brigade "Azov". All payments, benefits, and bonuses provided for in the terms of the contract 18-24 apply to young volunteers who wish to sign a contract and begin 365 days of service in a professional unit.
Is there a transfer from the Armed Forces to the National Guard?
Yes. Servicemen of the Armed Forces can transfer to the National Guard online, in the "Army+" application. Transfers are also available to the "Azov" brigade. When filling out the transfer application, you need to select the 12th Special Purpose Brigade "Azov" (military unit 3057) from the list of units. Before filling out the transfer application, you need to obtain a recommendation letter from our recruiters.
