We are looking for a Communications Specialist to join the 12th Special Purpose Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine. Ensure seamless communication in military operations.

Responsibilities

• Organisation and maintenance of stable and uninterrupted communication between units of the Azov Brigade, including with adjacent units.
• Maintenance and configuration of radio stations, satellite, and digital communication systems.
• Installation and operation of communication antennas and their components.
• Monitoring the technical condition of communication systems.
• Protection of information and message transmission.

A professional communications specialist is capable of effectively working under any conditions and thus improving the situational awareness of commanders and soldiers on the battlefield.

Requirements

• Relevant education or special training.
• Excellent knowledge of all types and methods of military communication (including its encryption).
• Understanding of the basics of electromechanics, electrical engineering, internet technologies, as well as telephone and radio communications.
• Skills in performing special installation and repair work.
• Ability to properly use the necessary equipment for controlling various means of communication; good health;
• Clear diction;
• Ability to quickly perceive and remember information;
• Responsibility, attentiveness, and composure.

Nice to Have

• Technical education or experience with telecommunication equipment.
• Knowledge of the basics of radio communication, satellite, and digital communication. This knowledge will not be superfluous when getting acquainted with the basics and work of military communication.
• Attentiveness, responsibility, and resistance to stress. The whole system of decision-making and transmission from the command to the units depends on the actions of the communications specialist. Mistakes in work are unacceptable.

At what age can you join the Azov Brigade?

You can join the 12th Special Purpose Brigade "Azov" of the 1st Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine "Azov" from the age of 18.

How long is the basic combat training course?

The basic combat training course lasts approximately 6-8 weeks. We pay close attention to the training of personnel, carefully training recruits and preparing them to perform combat tasks. For the Azov Brigade of the National Guard, the professionalism and cohesion of the unit, as well as the value of each individual soldier, have always been a priority.

If you are transferred to a unit, do you need to complete the basic combat training course?

Servicemen who join our brigade by transfer must pass the entry control standards. If the standards are not passed, the basic combat training course must be completed.

What type of contract and for how long?

Contracts until the demobilization decree. Mobilization until the end of the state of war is also available. If a recruit is transferred from another unit where they have a signed contract, that contract is transferred to the 12th Azov Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine.

What documents are required?

1. Copy of passport (all pages), if ID card, then also the appendix;
2. Copy of TIN;
3. Original conscription / military ticket (must be registered with the military enlistment office);
4. Photos 3×4 - 4 pcs., 9×12 - 2 pcs. Photos must be matte, without corners, and in the form of a cartoon (you can have them taken at a photo studio);
5. Copy of diploma/certificate of education, if available (secondary special, higher) + appendix with grades;
6. Details of personal account (preferably PrivatBank or Oschadbank), the card must be "For payments"
7. Certificate of no criminal record from the Diya (Full).

Is there a contract 18-24 in Azov?

Yes. Contract 18-24 is available for signing in the 12th Azov Brigade. All payments, benefits, and bonuses provided for in the terms of the 18-24 contract apply to young volunteers who wish to sign the contract and start 365 days of service in a professional unit.

Is there a transfer from the Armed Forces to the National Guard?

Yes. Servicemen of the Armed Forces can transfer to the National Guard online, in the "Army+" application. Transfers are also available to the Azov Brigade. When filling out the transfer application, you need to select the 12th Special Purpose Brigade "Azov" (unit 3057) from the list of units. Before filling out the transfer application, you need to obtain a recommendation letter from our recruiters.
