2D Spine Animator

About the Position

We are seeking a Senior 2D Spine Animator with 5+ years of experience in game animation to join our team. Remote work is available in Armenia, Cyprus, Kazakhstan, Poland, and Ukraine.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality 2D animations for slot, instant, and crash games
• Animate gameplay states, including idle, win, loss, reactions, transitions, features, and bonus events
• Build and maintain production-ready Spine rigs for characters, symbols, UI elements, and game objects
• Prepare, export, and optimize Spine assets for integration into HTML5 (PixiJS, Cocos2d) games
• Collaborate with the Game Art Lead, UI/UX Designer, 2D Artist, and Project Manager
• Organize and maintain a clear, structured workflow for game projects in Spine, Adobe After Effects, and Google Drive
• Research new animation techniques, tools, and AI-assisted workflows
• Generate ideas for improving game animations and user experience
• Constantly research and analyze game animation trends, competitors, casino products, slot providers, and player preferences
• Participate actively in brainstorming, mood boards, and team discussions

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a 2D Animator in GameDev
• Strong portfolio or showreel featuring examples of game animation
• Strong understanding of animation principles and the ability to create polished character, symbol, UI, transition, and visual-effect animations
• Understanding of game animation pipelines, asset reuse, and performance optimization for browser-based and mobile games
• Ability to animate in various styles, from realistic to cartoon styles
• Ability to maintain and enhance the art-defined style in animation
• Proficiency in Spine and Adobe After Effects
• Excellent knowledge of Figma and Adobe Photoshop
• Experience preparing and optimizing Spine assets for HTML5 integration using PixiJS, Cocos2d, Cocos Creator, or similar technologies

Nice to Have

• Experience in the iGaming industry
• Experience with 3D software (Cinema 4D, Blender)
