About the Position
We are looking for a Senior 2D Spine Animator to join our team in a remote position. This role is ideal for someone with 3+ years of professional experience in 2D game animation, specifically using Spine.
Responsibilities
- Create high-quality 2D animations for slot, instant, and crash games.
- Build and maintain production-ready Spine rigs for characters, symbols, UI elements, and game objects.
- Animate gameplay states, including idle, win, loss, reactions, transitions, features, and bonus events.
- Collaborate with the Art Director and 2D Artists to define animation style and prepare artwork for rigging.
- Prepare, export, and optimize Spine assets for integration into HTML5 games using PixiJS, Cocos2d, Cocos Creator, or similar technologies.
- Work with Frontend Developers to test animations in-game and improve timing, readability, transitions, and performance.
- Maintain clean project files, create reusable animation assets, estimate tasks, communicate risks, and take ownership of animation quality through final implementation.
Requirements

Core Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of rigging, skinning, meshes, weights, constraints, IK, clipping masks, and animation curves.
- Strong understanding of animation principles.
- Experience working on slot, instant, casino, or other interactive game products.
- Understanding of game animation pipelines, asset reuse, and performance optimization for browser-based and mobile games.
- Experience preparing and optimizing Spine assets for HTML5 integration using PixiJS, Cocos2d, Cocos Creator, or similar technologies.

Secondary Skills:
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong portfolio or showreel demonstrating previous work.
