Abiturientenprogramm Handelsfachwirt (m/w/d)

Why It Matters

During the 3-year apprenticeship and training program to become a Handelsfachwirt (m/w/d), you can expect intensive theoretical and practical phases, which will be rewarded with two IHK certificates: Kaufmann bzw. Kauffrau im Einzelhandel (Months 1 to 18) and geprüfter Handelsfachwirt (m/w/d) (Months 19 to 36). Additionally, you will be trained in vocational and work pedagogy and will complete the instructor eligibility examination. The goal is to prepare you for a management position with us.

In your practical phases, you will take on responsible tasks in one of our retail stores, learning how processes work in a large retail company: from ordering goods to receiving, displaying, and storing them, all the way to sales and sales-promoting measures. You will also explore how these processes can be controlled and optimized. In vocational school, your training content includes procurement, controlling, and personnel management, which will make you a professional in retail.

You will complete the Abiturientenprogramm at one or more locations. The theoretical phases take place in 9 blocks of 2-3 weeks per year.
