About the Role

During the 3-year training and further education program to become a Handelsfachwirt (m/w/d), you can expect intensive theoretical and practical phases, which will be rewarded with two IHK certifications: Kaufmann bzw. Kauffrau im Einzelhandel (Months 1 to 18) and geprüfter Handelsfachwirt (m/w/d) (Months 19 to 36). Additionally, you will be trained in vocational and work pedagogy and will complete the instructor eligibility examination. All with the goal of taking on a leadership position with us.

In your practical phases, you will take on responsible tasks in one of our retail stores and learn how the processes in a large retail company work: starting from ordering goods, receiving, presenting, and storing the goods, to sales and sales promotion measures. At the same time, you will deal with how these processes can be controlled and optimized. In vocational school, your training contents include procurement, controlling, and personnel management – which will make you a professional in the retail sector.

You will complete the Abiturientenprogramm at one or more locations. The theoretical phases take place in 9 blocks of 2-3 weeks per year.

An above-average salary:
- 1st to 6th month: 1,350.00 € gross
- 7th to 18th month: 1,500.00 € gross
- From the 19th month: 2,664.00 € gross
