About the Client
Our client is a payment service provider specializing in offering a range of solutions such as open banking payments, alternative payment methods, card payments, card payouts, mobile commerce payments, e-wallets, and vouchers. They cater to businesses in high-growth and high-risk industries, including e-commerce, iGaming, and fintech, with a focus on providing secure and efficient digital asset transfers. Their services are delivered through streamlined APIs, SDKs, and no-code integration options for full-scale payment systems.
Role Overview
As an Accountant, you will have the opportunity to manage complex payroll operations, multi-currency transactions, and financial reporting for a dynamic fintech company. This role offers the chance to work fully remotely within the EU, engaging with a diverse team and contributing to the company's growth. You'll be at the forefront of financial operations, driving process improvements and ensuring compliance across various jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage payroll operations for 50+ contractors across multiple currencies, including FX conversions and crypto payroll processing.
- Handle invoice validation, vendor management, and maintain accurate accounting records.
- Perform reconciliations, month-end closing activities, and support financial report preparation.
- Support budgeting processes and perform budget vs actual analysis.
- Ensure accounting compliance, support VAT/tax processes, and coordinate with auditors.
- Drive accounting process improvements and strengthen financial controls.
Requirements
- Strong Accounting Knowledge
- Solid understanding of IFRS/GAAP, statutory reporting, and corporate tax principles.
- Hands-on experience with accounting platforms and advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with multi-currency accounting and FX transactions.
- Experience working with auditors, tax compliance, and risk management.
- Ability to maintain accounting records and drive process improvements.
- Languages: English B2, Russian C1.
- Experience in fintech.
