About the Role

We are seeking an Accounting & Reporting Manager for our Barcelona office to oversee month-end closing and audit processes across Italy, Portugal, Spain, and Poland. You will lead a team of 4-6 accountants, ensure the meeting of reporting deadlines, and comply with internal and external policies as well as local tax regulations and requirements of the countries. You will also lead analysis to explain performance versus our Business Plan and supervise monthly reconciliations for both P&L and BS.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Purchase to Pay process during the month-end closing process of 22 countries - Glovo Group.
• Support with disclosures related to Purchase to Pay (PtP) for accurate and timely Statutory Financial Statements and Reports.
• Lead a team of 3-6 accountants from local and international markets.
• Partner with local accounting teams to harmonize the Purchase to Pay process across the Glovo group.
• Review and approve monthly reconciliations related to PtP accounts BS and P&L.
• Ensure all accounting/financial Policies and Procedures related to PtP are adopted in line with prevailing legislation.
• Proactively map PtP process improvements and drive the planning, execution, and implementation.
• Actively participate in the implementation of local ERPs and other finance projects related to PtP.
• Prepare ad hoc analysis to support explaining deviations of the P&L vs Business Plan.
• Adapt quickly to changes in company policy, tax regulations, and legislation.
• Collaborate with the FinOps team to align the accounting flow with business.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from related departments (Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, etc.).
• 8+ years of applicable work experience in Accounting for multinational companies.
• Experience in people management positions.
• Fluent in English with the ability to understand and communicate clearly and effectively (both written and oral).
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end closing processes, specifically with Accruals, Provisions, Accounts payable, and Legal Contingencies.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Good understanding and experience of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP/IFRS).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets.
• Experience using SAP S4/HANA, Microsoft Dynamics, and OneStream is a plus.
• Experience with ERP migration is a plus.
• Project Management experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
