Android Software Engineer

About the Position

We are seeking an Android Software Engineer to join our team in Kaunas, Lithuania. The role involves the design, development, and maintenance of Android native software applications using Kotlin and Java. The Android Software Engineer will be involved in all aspects of the software development life cycle, including requirement gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment. Good working knowledge of Android SDK and Android Studio are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Participating in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-up meetings, and retrospectives.
• Collaborating with other team members to gather and understand requirements for new features and enhancements.
• Developing and maintaining Android Native mobile applications using Kotlin, Java, Android SDK, and Android Studio.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services.
• Familiarity with performance and memory tuning with tools.
• Understanding of Google’s design principles and interface guidelines.
• Writing unit tests and integration tests to ensure code quality and maintainability.
• Participating in code reviews and incorporating feedback from other team members.
• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.
• Good working knowledge of code versioning tools such as Git.
• Troubleshooting and debugging issues.
• Continuously improving the software development process and practices.
• Communicating with stakeholders and other team members to ensure project goals are met.
• Keeping up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends to improve the software and the development process.

• Nice to Have Skills: Azure, AWS, GCP, automated testing

• The salary range for this position is from 3.374 to 4.459 EURO gross before taxes. Salary offer for the candidate is determined based on the predefined salary ranges for the position and depends on the level of competence and experience of the candidate.
