Application Support Engineer

About the Position

We are looking for an Application Support Engineer to join a technology project in the Retail sector, contributing to the evolution of critical business applications, the reliability of system integrations, and continuous service improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and ensure the continuous improvement of critical business applications;
• Analyse and resolve incidents, ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs);
• Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent solutions;
• Identify opportunities to improve and optimise processes;
• Contribute to system integrations and knowledge transfer;
• Develop and maintain technical and functional documentation.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field;
• Previous experience in Application Support, Systems Integration, or Software Development;
• Strong knowledge of .NET / C#, REST APIs, and system integrations;
• Experience with SQL and Microsoft SQL Server;
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps;
• Experience in log analysis, troubleshooting, and incident resolution in production environments;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with good communication abilities.

Nice to Have

• Oracle Database / PL-SQL;
• Linux environments and shell scripting;
• Microservices architecture;
• OutSystems;
• SAP integrations;
• Experience in the Retail sector.
