About the Position

Architecture & Engineering Practice Lead

Location: Kraków, PL

Type of contract: Employment contract

Salary range: 18 850 – 28 900 PLN gross/month

You will drive end-to-end solution architecture for complex enterprise platforms, combining hands-on technical design with leadership of engineering practices. In this role, you will work closely with stakeholders across product, data, security, and engineering teams to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with business outcomes, while also shaping architecture standards and mentoring other engineers and architects.

Responsibilities

  • Drive end-to-end solution architecture for complex platforms, products, and value streams
  • Translate business requirements into clear and maintainable technical designs
  • Define and promote architecture standards, best practices, and design patterns
  • Partner with engineering teams to guide implementation and resolve design challenges
  • Ensure solutions meet security, scalability, resilience, and operability requirements
  • Provide architectural governance and support delivery teams throughout the lifecycle
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across product, data, security, and operations
  • Shape engineering and architecture practices and mentor senior engineers and architects

Requirements

  • Strong experience in solution architecture or technical leadership roles
  • Proven ability to design end-to-end technology solutions for complex systems
  • Solid understanding of modern software architecture concepts such as distributed systems, APIs, and data-driven design
  • Experience working closely with engineering teams to turn designs into delivered solutions
  • Ability to balance business outcomes, technical constraints, and risk considerations
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working with senior stakeholders
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments
  • Openness to work hybrid from our client's office (Kraków) 8 days per month

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data-intensive or analytics platforms
  • Cloud experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP
  • Knowledge of regulatory, risk, or governance-heavy environments
  • Experience defining or evolving engineering practices across multiple teams
