About the Position

Associate Maintenance

Talabat, part of the Delivery Hero Group, is seeking an Associate Maintenance to conduct preventive maintenance inspections and repairs across our facilities in Maadi, Egypt.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine preventive maintenance (PM) inspections across assigned tmart dark stores and warehouse facilities on a scheduled basis.
• Perform regular store visits to assess facility condition, identify maintenance needs, and execute corrective actions on-site.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing systems to minimize operational disruption.
• Coordinate with store operations teams to schedule maintenance windows with minimum impact on order fulfillment.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and spare-parts inventory using the facility management system.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Respond promptly to emergency breakdown calls and provide hands-on repair support at any assigned location.
• Liaise with external contractors and vendors for specialist repairs; supervise and quality-check their work on-site.
• Track and report on key maintenance KPIs (MTTR, PM completion rate, energy consumption) to the Maintenance Manager.
• Support facility improvement and energy-efficiency initiatives across the tmart network.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering - required.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a facility, industrial, or logistics/warehousing environment.
• Experience maintaining dark stores, fulfillment centers, or warehouse facilities is highly preferred.
• Proven track record managing both preventive and corrective maintenance programs.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems: panels, wiring, motor controls, lighting, and UPS systems.
• Proficiency in mechanical systems: HVAC, refrigeration units, conveyors, pumps, and compressors.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
• Familiarity with facility management / CMMS software is an advantage.

• Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues quickly under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with store managers and cross-functional teams.
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly to multiple store locations.
• Flexible availability, including potential weekend or on-call support during peak periods.
