Associate, Private Trustees in Bankruptcy Service

About the Position

We are seeking an Associate for our Private Trustees in Bankruptcy Service. Responsibilities include assisting in bankruptcy estate administration and understanding legal aspects of bankruptcy.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the administration of bankruptcy estates
• Understand the legal aspects, processes, and timelines of bankruptcy administrations
• Assist in the preparation of letters, notices, emails, and reports
• Take control of the bankrupt's assets followed by realization
• Gather information from bankrupts and other third parties
• Maintain a database of information and records
• Review and present financial information
• Conduct site visits
• Adjudicate creditors' claims
• Investigate past transactions
• Assist with the reviewing of case/issues and preparation of file-notes
• Attend meetings and take down minutes
• Clarify issues/problems to be addressed and communicated clearly and timely to supervisors
• Perform any other duties as assigned to support departmental and organization objectives

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Accountancy, Law, Business, or other relevant qualifications
• Fresh graduates and those with less than 2 years of experience in corporate insolvency and/or external audit
• Strong analytical and report writing skills with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and construct solutions
• Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines
• A strong team player
