About the Role

RSM Mauritius is continuing to grow its Internal Audit and Risk Advisory practice, with the team recently securing several significant client engagements across different sectors. As we expand our portfolio of work, we are looking for a Risk Consultant to join our team and contribute to the delivery of these engagements. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to gain broader client exposure, work across different industries, and develop their career in Internal Audit and Risk Advisory.

Responsibilities

As a Risk Consultant, you will work closely with our team and clients to assess and strengthen internal controls, risk management, and business processes. You will be involved in assignments from planning through to reporting, with opportunities to take increasing responsibility as you develop.

• Assist in planning and executing internal audit assignments across a range of business processes.
• Understand client processes, identify key risks, and assess the adequacy of controls.
• Perform walkthroughs, interviews, and control testing and document your work.
• Identify control gaps and areas for improvement and discuss these with clients.
• Assist in preparing internal audit reports and practical recommendations.
• Develop positive working relationships with clients and understand their business needs.
• Contribute to proposals and other advisory assignments where required.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Professional qualification or progress towards ACA/ACCA/CIA would be an advantage.
• Relevant experience in internal audit, external audit, risk advisory, or a related field.
• Good analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop.
