Associate SDET

About the Position

We are seeking an Associate SDET with experience in automating tests for scalable application components, which are remotely deployed. Our distributed solution requires highly motivated and talented engineers to understand the depth of the problem and ensure its quality is maintained to a high standard.

Responsibilities

The role will focus on, but not exclusively, the following:

• Ensuring product quality:
  • Work with engineering and architecture to implement the plan developed for automating test cases and ensuring adequate automation coverage
  • Create and maintain test automation (both UI and API) within CI/CD pipelines
  • Ensure the expected behavior of code prior to product releases
  • Increase overall coverage of automation suite
  • Curate reports for the stakeholders

Requirements

Key Proficiencies:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related technical discipline with projects work on automation and testing (recent graduates encouraged to apply)
• Experience writing code in an Object-Oriented language such as Java
• Experience with version control systems such as Git

Desired Skills:

• Academic projects, internships, or practical experience involving test automation (preferably using Selenium and Java)
• Basic understanding of testing distributed systems
• Exposure to Linux administration, command-line usage, and scripting (Shell, Bash, Python)
• Knowledge of virtualization/containerization technologies (e.g., Docker)
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks such as JUnit or TestNG
