About the Position

Ausbildung Industriemechaniker:in im Streckennetz 2027

Deutsche Bahn AG is looking for motivated individuals to join our team for a 3.5-year apprenticeship as an Industriemechaniker:in (w/m/d) starting September 1, 2027, in Freilassing, Bayern. The vocational school is located in Bad Aibling (Landkreis Rosenheim).

Responsibilities

You will become a specialist for the maintenance, upkeep, and troubleshooting of overhead lines.
Learn the basics, such as the relationship between voltage and current, as well as electrical fundamentals and operating devices.
Gain expertise in interpreting technical documents.
Learn about work safety and accident prevention regulations.

Requirements

You have (soon) successfully completed school, and your school diploma is recognized in Germany.
Your German language skills correspond to at least the B2 level.
You have manual skills and enjoy tinkering in your free time.
Your knowledge in mathematics and physics is particularly strong.
Your committed, meticulous, and reliable work ethic sets you apart.

We Offer

Mobile Device: For the success of your apprenticeship, we provide the best conditions: You will receive a mobile device from us, which you can use for learning and also privately.
Free Travel: We offer you 16 free trips within Germany per year and further travel benefits such as the DB Job-Ticket for your daily commute. Additionally, there are cheap travel options for family and friends.
Rent Subsidy: We support you in settling in your new city! If you have to commute more than 2.5 hours daily from your previous place of residence and rent a closer apartment, we will provide you with a rent subsidy of up to 400 € per month.

Attractive Compensation: Depending on the year of apprenticeship, between 1,324 Euro and 1,531 Euro per month plus holiday pay. *Salary amounts are valid from 01.07.2026. The employment conditions apply to the vast majority of apprentices in the DB Group.
