About the Position

Zu Beginn deiner Ausbildung lernst du die Grundlagen der Hydraulik, Pneumatik und Steuerungstechnik kennen. Kenntnisse in der Metallbearbeitung und Elektrotechnik sind ebenso Ausbildungsinhalt wie das Programmieren, Messen und Prüfen von Komponenten. General Information about the Mechatronics Apprenticeship

Training Start: 01. September 2027

Training Duration: 3.5 years (shortening possible)

Training Allowance: Your salary during the apprenticeship as a mechatronics technician amounts to:

• 1st training year 1.303 € gross / month
• 2nd training year 1.365 € gross / month
• 3rd training year 1.444 € gross / month
• 4th training year 1.497 € gross / month

Requirements for the Mechatronics Apprenticeship

• At least a qualified lower secondary school certificate, preferably a middle school diploma
• English skills
• Basic experience with Microsoft Office
• Technical basic knowledge
• Enjoyment of manual work & manual skill
• Ideally first internship experiences
• Contact and teamwork skills

Why did you decide on the apprenticeship as a mechatronics technician?

I decided on this profession because it is incredibly versatile. It is fascinating that I can work with both metal and electronics and thereby develop a wide range of skills. This variety makes the profession exciting and keeps me motivated, as I learn something new every day. Furthermore, I am an enthusiastic technology lover and eagerly follow the progress in this field. What do you particularly enjoy about your apprenticeship?

In my apprenticeship as a mechatronics technician, I particularly enjoy assembling and mounting components. It is exciting to see how a functioning product emerges from individual parts. The variety in my profession is another plus point. Every day brings new challenges and projects, ensuring that no day is like the other. In addition, I appreciate the independence I have while working. The versatility of my profession allows me to perform different tasks and continuously get to know new aspects, which I really like.

How were you integrated into the existing teams?

As an apprentice at DEPRAG, I am treated very well. I feel sufficiently supported, as I can ask anyone at any time and always receive a helpful answer. Especially our instructor supports us at any time if we have difficulties at school. In addition, we are offered extra learning hours during working hours to ensure that we understand our training content well and can successfully complete our apprenticeship. Overall, I feel well looked after and supported as an apprentice at DEPRAG.

Do you have any tips for future apprentices?

For future apprentices, I have the following tips: Pay great attention to working neatly. A careful and conscientious working method is important to achieve good results and make a good impression. Be open to new information and challenges. Show interest in your subject and your environment. Engage actively, ask questions, and show your enthusiasm for what you learn and do. This will not only increase your motivation but also help you successfully complete your apprenticeship.
