Automation Tester (JavaScript)
Primary stack
Job description
About the Position
We are currently looking for an Automation Tester in JavaScript to join our team.
In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the quality assurance strategy for modern web applications and analytics platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment focused on continuous delivery and technical excellence. This is a great opportunity to contribute to building scalable, maintainable, and reliable test automation solutions.
Responsibilities
- Write and maintain end-to-end UI tests in TypeScript using Playwright, covering Call Reports, Message Reports, and Analytics dashboards across development, staging, and production environments
- Migrate existing Python Selenium/pytest test suites to Playwright, establishing consistent patterns and reducing framework fragmentation
- Collaborate with developers and the product owner to understand feature behavior and design appropriate test strategies throughout the entire development cycle, not just at the end
- Expand smoke test and health check coverage for services that currently lack end-to-end validation
- Maintain and enhance CI/CD test pipelines, working with Jenkins today and supporting the ongoing migration to GitHub Actions
- Contribute to monitoring and alerting mechanisms built around automated test results
- Document test patterns, utilities, and onboarding guides so team members can independently contribute to test coverage
- Identify gaps in testability and advocate for changes that improve the overall testability of the product
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a similar discipline
- At least 2 years of professional relevant experience in test automation
- Hands-on experience with Playwright, or equivalent modern browser automation tools such as Cypress or Puppeteer, in a TypeScript or JavaScript environment
- Familiarity with Python at a level sufficient to read and migrate existing Selenium/pytest tests
- Practical experience running automated tests within CI/CD pipelines
- Experience writing tests against RESTful APIs to validate back-end services
- Background in multi-environment test strategies, including credential management, environment configuration, and data injection
- English level B2 or higher, with strong written and verbal communication skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with pytest and Selenium WebDriver for maintaining and understanding legacy test suites
- Familiarity with GitHub Actions for automating CI/CD workflows
- Experience with SQL databases, including writing queries and validating test data
- Exposure to BrowserStack or similar cross-browser and cross-device testing platforms
- Experience with Allure or comparable test reporting tools for generating clear and structured test results
We Offer
- Opportunity to work remotely from Brazil
- Be part of a dynamic team focused on continuous delivery and technical excellence
- Contribute to the development of scalable, maintainable, and reliable test automation solutions
