About the Role
Will you be part of leading a nursing home where technology, expertise, and people develop services together?
About the Role
From February 1, 2027, Norlandia Care will take over the operation of Kalfaret Nursing Home, located in the heart of Bergen. We are building a new leadership team to ensure a safe transition and set the direction for the future, with the vision of a good life – every day.
Kalfaret is a small nursing home with 34 long-term care beds spread across two floors and four living groups. As a Department Leader, you will lead the daily operations alongside the Unit Manager. Distances are short, both between offices and between ideas and actions. You will get to know the residents, their families, and every single employee, and you will see with your own eyes when an improvement works.
From Technology to Better Everyday Life
At Norlandia, we use technology to support professionals and to develop the quality of services. Monitoring and new digital solutions can make it possible to detect changes in residents earlier and work more preventively. This provides increased security, better basis for professional assessments, and more time for follow-up where the need is greatest.
For healthcare staff, this also provides new opportunities to use and develop clinical competence in daily work.
During the first year of operation, we will establish a resource group where employees from different departments test technology in their daily work and share experiences. As a Department Leader, you will help shape this work alongside the Quality and Development Leader.
As a Department Leader, you will work closely with the Quality and Development Leader and employees to test, evaluate, and implement new solutions. We start with the need, test on a small scale, and adjust along the way.
This way, innovation becomes part of the operation – not a project alongside.

- Be a visible and accessible leader in everyday life
- Recruit, follow up, and develop employees
- Ensure a safe transition for residents, relatives, and employees

Why This Role Might Be Right for You

- Have leadership experience or relevant leadership competence and are confident in staff follow-up
- Understand what it takes to make staffing, finances, and daily operations work
- Have experience with quality and improvement work
- Are clear when needed, but give employees space and trust
