We are hiring an AWS Senior Platform Engineer for a leading cloud and platform engineering consultancy delivering modern cloud platforms across public and private sector organizations.

This role is ideal for an experienced platform engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, building secure and scalable AWS environments, and helping engineering teams adopt modern cloud-native and DevOps practices. You will work closely with platform engineers, architects, and delivery teams to design, build, and operate cloud platforms that improve reliability, security, and developer experience.

The role combines hands-on engineering with platform design, automation, and operational excellence, supporting both application and platform workloads in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate secure, scalable AWS-based platform infrastructure
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and reusable platform modules
• Build, improve, and support CI/CD pipelines that enable fast and reliable software delivery
• Support and optimize Kubernetes workloads running on Amazon EKS
• Collaborate with development teams to enable cloud-native application delivery and platform adoption
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions across platform environments
• Improve platform reliability, scalability, security, and operational efficiency through automation and best practices
• Create reusable deployment patterns, templates, and self-service capabilities for engineering teams
• Support onboarding of new applications and workloads onto shared cloud platforms
• Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Contribute to platform architecture discussions and technical decision-making
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering roles
• Strong hands-on experience building and operating AWS platforms in production environments
• Proven experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
• Strong understanding of AWS networking concepts including VPCs, routing, load balancing, connectivity, and security controls
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation workflows
• Experience working with containerized workloads and Kubernetes, ideally Amazon EKS
• Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures and modern platform engineering principles
• Experience implementing monitoring, logging, observability, and alerting solutions
• Knowledge of AWS IAM, security best practices, governance, and compliance controls
• Experience collaborating with engineers, architects, and delivery teams in cross-functional environments
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
• Terraform Associate certification
• Experience working within consulting or customer-facing environments
• Experience supporting cloud migration, modernization, or platform transformation initiatives
• Familiarity with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, ArgoCD, or similar tooling
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or CloudWatch
