Your Role as Azure Infrastructuur Engineer at Quality

How will you help our clients optimize their cloud performance?

As an Azure Infrastructuur Engineer, you will work on designing, implementing, and optimizing modern Azure environments for various clients. You will contribute to stable, secure, and scalable cloud platforms, with automation and standardization at the core.

Depending on your seniority, your focus will be on both the technical execution and making design choices and advising stakeholders.

Responsibilities

In your role, you will directly contribute to the success of our clients. Your daily tasks include:

Managing, optimizing, and developing Azure environments.
Migrating on-premises infrastructures to Azure.
Designing and implementing secure-by-design solutions.
Automating infrastructure with Infrastructure as Code (Bicep, Terraform).
Working within DevOps teams and contributing to CI/CD processes.
Applying modern Azure services such as AKS, API Management, and AI solutions.
Creating technical designs (LLD) and translating requirements into High Level Designs (HLD).
Advising on Azure landing zones and architectural choices based on the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework and Well-Architected Framework.

Additionally, you will work on setting up and improving Network architectures (vNets, VPN, ExpressRoute), Identity & Access Management (Entra ID), Security and governance and compliance (Defender for Cloud, policies). You will document technical choices in documentation, such as Low Level Designs (LLD’s), and contribute to the further standardization of Azure environments.

Requirements

What you bring

You are a driven Azure Cloud Engineer who loves challenges and responsibility. You know how to solve complex cloud issues and are ready for the next step. Furthermore, you have:

Proven experience with Azure Cloud, Microsoft Azure, and other cloud providers or a combination thereof.
Experience with automation via PowerShell, Bicep, and/or Terraform.
Familiarity with Agile and knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and DevOps methodologies.
Knowledge of networking, identity, and cloud security principles.
Familiarity with applying best practices such as the Well-Architected Framework.
Minimum AZ-104 certification, supplemented with or ambition towards certifications such as AZ-305, AZ-400, AZ-500, or AZ-700.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand complex issues.
Ability to work independently and be proactive and continuously focused on improvement.
