About the Position

Moon Active is one of the world's fastest-growing mobile game companies, providing entertainment to millions of active users across the universe. The company is headquartered in the heart of Tel Aviv.

We're looking for a Backend Developer to join our awesome Core Platform team. The team is responsible for building complex, high-scale, real-time services and infrastructure which is used by all company’s studios to support their business.

We are looking for an engineer who views AI not just as a tool, but as a fundamental shift in how we build software. You will be responsible for designing high-performance, distributed systems while leaning heavily into an AI-First engineering culture.

We are looking for strong software engineers with practical experience, the drive, and enthusiasm to succeed in a demanding and professional team environment.

Responsibilities

Design, architect, test, and implement core services and features in MoonActive's platform services and data pipeline infrastructure.
Be responsible for scalable, high-traffic production infrastructure across all MoonActive studios.
Build valuable tools to support the development and business processes across the company.
Integrate AI agents and LLMs (Cursor, Claude Code) into your daily flow to maximize velocity and code quality.
Deliver high-quality and well-structured code.
Own the deliverables end-to-end, from inception, through design and development, and production implementation.

Requirements

6+ years of backend development experience.
BSc in computer science or equivalent.
Experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture.
Experience in high-scale, multi-threaded systems.
Experience with AI coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code) in your workflow.
Proactive, self-driven, and highly adaptable. Demonstrates the ability to thrive and excel in an environment where the status quo is constantly challenged.
Self-learner, strong can-do attitude, and great interpersonal skills.

Advantages

High proficiency in Golang.
Production experience with multiple databases - MySQL/PostgreSQL/Redis and others.
Familiarity with AWS/GCP cloud services/infrastructure.
Experience with general aspects of SWE including but not limited to dev-ops, automation, and front-end development.
