Ubiquiti Prague office is looking for a talented Backend Developer (Kotlin) for the UniFi Team.

You’ll be working on the UniFi application back-end to develop efficient, scalable, and maintainable features.

This role requires working from our Prague office at least two days per week.

Responsibilities

• REST API development
• Develop integrations with network device firmware and other UniFi OS applications.
• Participate in all phases of development, including feature design and testing.
• Code reviews for other team members.

Requirements

• Senior-level engineering experience, typically 5+ years shipping production systems.
• Strong problem-solving and systems thinking - you can break down ambiguous problems and design good solutions.
• Good understanding of SOLID principles.
• Experience in web application development.
• Daily, fluent use of AI coding assistants as a core part of your workflow.
• Fluent in English and Czech.

Nice to Have

• Kotlin and Spring framework knowledge.
• Advanced knowledge of networking.
• Familiarity with networking, virtualization, storage, and HW in general.
• Experience with Bash and Unix.
