Band 5/6 ACT Pharmacy Technician

About the Position

We are currently recruiting for a Band 5/6 ACT Pharmacy Technician to work on a temporary basis in Northampton. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Accuracy Checking Technician to join a busy NHS pharmacy team in Northampton, with positions available at both Band 5 and Band 6 level.

Responsibilities

• Provide accuracy checking support across the dispensary
• Ensure the safe and efficient dispensing of medicines to patients
• Check the accuracy of dispensed items
• Support the smooth running of the dispensary
• Work closely with the wider pharmacy team to maintain high standards of accuracy and patient safety

Requirements

• GPhC registration
• Minimum of 6 months NHS hospital experience
• Accredited Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT) qualification
• Proven experience in a dispensary-based accuracy checking role
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider pharmacy team
