Band 8a Aseptic Pharmacist

About the Position

We are currently recruiting for a Band 8a Aseptic Pharmacist to work on a temporary basis in Shrewsbury. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Aseptic Pharmacist to take on a senior role within a well-established technical services team. At Band 8a level, you will provide expert pharmaceutical oversight of the aseptic unit, ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient preparation of aseptic products.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and supporting aseptic preparation activities within a licensed clean room environment
• Ensuring compliance with GMP principles and Pharmaceutical Quality Systems
• Overseeing quality assurance processes
• Contributing to audit and validation activities
• Providing expert pharmaceutical advice in relation to aseptic services
• Playing a key role in the leadership and development of the aseptic team

Requirements

• Current GPhC registration
• Minimum of 6 months NHS hospital experience within an aseptic or technical services setting
• Proven experience in a senior aseptic pharmacy role
• Specialist knowledge of GMP principles and QA in a pharmaceutical manufacturing or aseptic environment
• Experience with Pharmaceutical Quality Systems, audit, and validation
• Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, and develop pharmacy teams
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a complex technical workload
