Business Analyst - Credit Risk

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong Credit Risk and Banking domain expertise to support strategic regulatory, risk transformation, and lending initiatives. The ideal candidate will work closely with Risk, Finance, Technology, Operations, and Business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze processes, and deliver solutions supporting credit risk management across wholesale and/or retail banking portfolios.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in global banking environments and exposure to regulatory frameworks, credit risk systems, and large-scale transformation programs.
Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements related to Credit Risk processes and systems
- Work with stakeholders across Risk, Finance, Operations, and Technology to define target operating models and business solutions
- Support implementation of regulatory and risk transformation initiatives including Basel, IFRS9, IRB, stress testing, and credit lifecycle processes
- Conduct gap analysis, impact assessments, and process mapping for system and business changes
- Facilitate workshops, stakeholder meetings, and requirement validation sessions
- Translate business requirements into user stories, process flows, and functional specifications
- Collaborate with development and testing teams during SDLC and UAT phases
- Support data analysis and reporting activities related to credit exposure, risk metrics, and portfolio performance
- Ensure solutions comply with internal governance, regulatory requirements, and risk policies
- Assist in change management, implementation planning, and post-production support activities
Requirements
- 5+ years of Business Analyst experience within Banking or Financial Services
- Strong understanding of Credit Risk concepts and processes
- Experience with: Wholesale Credit Risk / Counterparty Credit Risk / Retail Credit Risk
- Experience with Basel regulations, IRB approaches, IFRS9, stress testing, or capital calculations
- Experience with Credit risk data, reporting, and regulatory requirements
- Experience working on large-scale banking transformation or regulatory programs
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to work in Agile and/or Waterfall delivery environments
Nice to Have
- Experience creating: BRDs, FRDs, User Stories, Process Maps, Gap Analysis documents
