We are looking for a Business Development Manager Payments (all genders) to join our team in Hamburg, Germany. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving, scale-up environment and is passionate about driving impactful business activities.

Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze payment method performance, lead partner business reviews, and track key performance indicators
- Serve as the primary operational contact and subject matter expert for payment customer flows towards internal and external stakeholders
- Manage payment risk settings, branding requirements, and operational configurations across various Payment Service Providers (PSP) and internal systems
- Oversee and continuously optimize the end-to-end checkout and payment experience for end customers
- Plan, monitor, and optimize the payment mix and payment costs
- Monitor and mitigate payment risk, collaborating closely with internal risk and security teams
Requirements
- Above average university degree at a top university
- 4–5+ years in strategy or business development at a consultancy, PSP, or e-commerce company, optionally in a start-up environment
- Stellar analytical skills and distinctive understanding of numbers
- Strong personality to work in a fast-moving scale-up environment
- Intrinsic motivation to actively drive impact in our business activities
- Quick perception and structured working methods
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and Google Workplace
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
