Department: Finance, Credit and Accounting

We are looking for an experienced Chief Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will ensure accurate financial reporting, full tax compliance, and effective financial control in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Armenia and company standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit all required tax, statistical, and regulatory reports within defined deadlines
• Ensure accurate calculation, timely submission, and payment of all taxes (VAT, profit tax, income tax, and others)
• Manage payroll accounting, including salary calculations, bonuses, overtime, vacations, sick leave, and final settlements
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and ensure timely adaptation of company processes
• Conduct a tax audit with tax authorities
• Identify accounting, tax, and compliance risks and escalate issues to management
• Participate in inventory processes, verify results, and ensure proper reflection in accounting systems
• Manage end-to-end accounting operations in 1C, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with legal and internal requirements
• Work with local and internal 1C developers, formulating problems, testing, and implementing updates or developments made by developers
• Control accounts receivable, payable, advances, and inventory accounting, ensuring proper reconciliation and timely closure
• Perform and oversee adjustments in accounting entries, bank statements, and supporting documents where required
• Process and control company payments, including local and international bank transfers, ensuring compliance with deadlines
• Maintain effective communication with banks, tax authorities, and other external stakeholders
• Ensure completeness and correctness of accounting and tax documentation across all transactions
• Support internal and external audits, providing required documentation and explanations
• Provide accounting guidance and support to internal departments on financial and tax-related matters

Requirements

• Higher education in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Strong knowledge of RA tax legislation and accounting standards
• Advanced knowledge of 1C and Excel
• High level of accuracy, responsibility, and attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and handle multiple priorities
