About the Position

A leading global research center working with international organizations, funds, corporations, and governments announces a competition for the position of Chief Accountant NGO in Kyiv.

Responsibilities

• Managing accounting and tax reporting for the NGO (non-profit organization) and LLC (general taxation system);
• Developing and monitoring the accounting policy;
• Preparing and submitting financial, tax, and management reporting;
• Reviewing contracts from a financial standpoint (including with international donors);
• Ensuring consistency between management and accounting records;
• Preparing project and donor reporting;
• Supporting external audits, assisting in project budget execution;
• Initiating improvements and automation of accounting and documentation processes;
• Providing financial information upon request from management;
• Participating in working groups and contributing to financial planning at the organizational level.

Requirements

• Higher education in accounting and auditing, finance, or economics;
• At least 3 years of experience as a Chief Accountant in an NGO;
• At least 5 years of experience working with LLCs under the general taxation system with VAT;
• Practical experience preparing reports for international technical assistance projects (ITA), project-based accounting, and export of services;
• Successful experience passing external audits;
• Advanced user of Excel (pivot tables, financial models), 1C 8.3, Client-Bank systems;
• Knowledge of VAT and currency regulations;
• English - sufficient for working with financial documents;
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to handle large volumes of information.
