About the Position
Announcement of the competition for the position of public service category “B” - Chief Specialist of the Contractual and Legal Department of the Department of International Cooperation
Order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine on April 26, 2021 No. 307 was approved.
Responsibilities
- Develop and coordinate draft international treaties and documents with various ministries and bodies.
- Prepare proposals for draft international treaties and legal acts related to international cooperation.
- Implement internal procedures necessary for the entry into force of international treaties.
- Develop draft legislative and regulatory acts on issues within the department's competence.
- Examine and develop documents on international cooperation.
- Provide advisory and methodological assistance on the organization of international cooperation.
- Ensure the consideration of appeals and requests related to international cooperation.
Requirements
- Education: Higher education with a degree not lower than bachelor or junior bachelor.
- Work Experience: Not required.
- Language Proficiency:
- Fluency in Ukrainian.
- Proficiency in English and/or French at a level not lower than B2 according to the European Guidelines on Language Education.
Skills
- Analytical abilities: Ability to think logically, analyze information, and draw conclusions.
- Qualitative performance of tasks: Clear formulation of goals, integrated approach, and understanding of tasks.
- Communication and interaction: Ability to build partnerships, interact effectively, and speak publicly.
- Digital literacy: Ability to use digital tools, verify information, and protect data.
Professional Knowledge
- Knowledge of legislation: Constitution of Ukraine, Law of Ukraine “On Civil Service”, Law of Ukraine “On Prevention of Corruption”, and other relevant legislation.
- Knowledge of legislation in the field: Law of Ukraine “On International Treaties of Ukraine”, Law of Ukraine “On Central Executive Bodies”, and other related laws.
- Professional knowledge required to perform tasks: Rules of preparation of draft regulations and international treaties, diplomatic protocol, business etiquette, and professional ethics.

- Competitive salary starting at UAH 10,600.
- Allowances, surcharges, bonuses, and compensation in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On Civil Service”.
- Increase to the official salary for the rank of civil servant in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of January 18, 2017 No. 15.
