About the Position

We are seeking a Chief Specialist for the Human Rights Monitoring Department to combat human trafficking, prevent domestic violence, and uphold children's rights.

Responsibilities

• Develop documents on the observance of the rights of the child, the prevention of domestic violence, and the fight against trafficking in human beings.
• Analyze causes and conditions leading to violations of human and citizen rights in the activities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Guard of Ukraine, and the Central Intelligence Agency.
• Process requests, appeals of people's deputies of Ukraine, appeals of citizens, and other documents related to the areas of activity of the sector.
• Participate in the development of draft regulatory acts relating to the activities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Guard of Ukraine, and the CEV.
• Prepare analytical materials within the competence of the sector.
• Comply with the rules of internal labor regulations, official and executive discipline, the rules of clerical work, and preservation of documents.
• Perform duties in accordance with their distribution, complying with the requirements of the provisions of labor protection, fire safety, and other protection and safety measures.

Requirements

• Education: Higher education with an educational degree not lower than bachelor, junior bachelor.
• Work Experience: Not required.
• Proficiency in the state language: Fluency in the state language.
• Professional Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of legislation: Constitution of Ukraine, Law of Ukraine “On Civil Service”, Law of Ukraine “On Prevention of Corruption”, and other legislation.
  • Knowledge of legislation in the field: United Nations Convention against Trafficking in Human Beings, Council of Europe Convention on Measures to Combat Trafficking in Human Beings, Criminal Code of Ukraine, The Law of Ukraine “On the Prevention and Countering of Domestic Violence”, The Law of Ukraine “On the Protection of Childhood”, Law of Ukraine “On Countering Trafficking in Human Beings”, Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated June 1, 2020 No. 585 “On the provision of social protection of children in difficult life circumstances”.
  • Knowledge of the system to prevent and counteract domestic violence and gender-based violence.

We Offer

• Official salary: UAH 10,600.
• Allowances, surcharges, bonuses, and compensation in accordance with Article 52 of the Law of Ukraine “On Civil Service”.
• Increase to the official salary for the rank of civil servant in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of January 18, 2017 No. 15 “The issue of remuneration of employees of state bodies” (as amended).
