Cloud Infrastructure Engineer – Azure

Farmaciasdirect is looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer – Azure to join our team in Dos Hermanas, Andalucía, ES. This is a FULL_TIME position.

Responsibilities

Your Mission

Your mission will be to help us manage, organize, and evolve our cloud infrastructure, primarily on Microsoft Azure, progressively taking on more autonomy and responsibility over the environment.

From the beginning, you will work on real production infrastructure and collaborate closely with our Development, Data, and Artificial Intelligence teams, as well as with the technology providers currently supporting us.

Management and Optimization of Microsoft Azure

• Supervise and manage active resources in Microsoft Azure.
• Configure and deploy new services according to project needs.
• Analyze cloud consumption and identify opportunities for cost and resource optimization.
• Manage subscriptions, resource groups, tagging, and environment organization.
• Detect oversized, underutilized, or unnecessary resources.

Infrastructure and Providers

• Know, organize, and document the current infrastructure and services progressively.
• Act as a technical liaison with our infrastructure providers.
• Participate in decisions about which services make sense to internalize and which to keep externalized.
• Monitor the quality and service levels of contracted solutions.

Monitoring, Availability, and Incidents

• Configure and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability systems.
• Work with tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, or New Relic.
• Diagnose and collaborate in resolving infrastructure, connectivity, and performance-related incidents.
• Ensure adequate mechanisms for backup, recovery, and continuity of production environments.

Security and Identities

• Manage identities, roles, and permissions following minimum privilege principles.
• Administer access, secrets, and certificates using Azure Key Vault or equivalent solutions.
• Review security configurations and detect potential exposures or risks.
• Collaborate in managing VPN and secure connectivity.

Collaboration with Development, Data, and AI

• Provide infrastructure support to our Development, Data, and Artificial Intelligence teams.
• Participate in deployments of applications, services, and new environments.
• Collaborate in the evolution of the infrastructure necessary for our data platform and new technological projects.

Documentation and Best Practices

• Document architectures, configurations, procedures, and resources.
• Keep the inventory of infrastructure, dependencies, responsible parties, and costs up to date.
• Help us establish standards and best practices for cloud infrastructure that allow us to continue growing in an orderly manner.

We do not expect you to know our entire environment from day one. We are looking for someone with a good technical foundation in Azure, who is organized and resourceful, and eager to learn our infrastructure in depth and progressively take on a more significant role in its management and evolution.

Requirements

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone with a good technical foundation in cloud infrastructure and practical experience with Microsoft Azure, who is resourceful, organized, and eager to progressively take on more responsibility for our environment.

To fit the role, we would like you to have:

• 2–4 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, systems, or similar positions.
• Practical experience working with Microsoft Azure.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, networks, storage, and identities.
• Solid networking foundation: subnets, DNS, firewalls, and connectivity.
• Experience working with Docker and containers.
• Knowledge of monitoring, alerts, and log analysis.
• Experience managing identities, roles, permissions, and access.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve infrastructure, connectivity, and performance issues.
• Organizational, autonomous, and documentation skills.
• Good communication and ability to work with both technical and non-technical profiles.

We will value education in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Systems, Systems Administration, technical high school, or equivalent knowledge acquired through professional experience.

It Will Be a Plus If You Have Also Worked With...

• Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Container Apps, or Virtual Machines.
• Terraform or Azure Bicep.
• Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Microsoft Entra ID and Azure Key Vault.
• Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
• Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, or Cosmos DB.
• Azure Data Lake / Azure Storage.
• Azure OpenAI or Azure AI Search.
• PowerShell or Bash.
• Kubernetes / AKS.

We do not expect you to master all these technologies. For us, it is more important that you have a good foundation in Azure and infrastructure, the ability to understand a technological environment, the criteria to solve problems, and the desire to continue learning and growing with us.

• Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., with a lunch break.
