About the Position
One of our Direct Clients is looking for a COBOL Developer for a contract position in Columbus, Ohio, US.
Job Details

- Pay Range: $55-57/hr

Responsibilities
- Analyze and understand existing Assembler programs and system interfaces.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy enhancements and bug fixes in Assembler.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy enhancements and bug fixes in COBOL-CICS.
- Perform code walkthroughs and support system testing.
- Assist in the documentation of application processes and workflows.
- Create or update technical documentation and support production issues.
- Participate in performance tuning and code optimization efforts.
Requirements
- Strong programming skills in Assembler HLASM (Mandatory Skill)
- Strong programming skills in COBOL-CICS (Mandatory Skill)
- Hands-on experience with JCL, VSAM, DB2.
- Good understanding of Changeman
- Familiarity with Mainframe Utilities (e.g., SORT, IDCAMS).
- Ability to interpret functional requirements and convert them into technical solutions.
- Exposure to modernization projects (e.g., re-engineering or re-platforming mainframe workloads).
