Communication Consultant for the Reform of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection

About the Position

East Europe Foundation, in collaboration with the USAID/UK Dev project «Supporting Ukraine’s Digital Transformation» (DTA), is pleased to announce an opportunity for a Communication Consultant for the Reform of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection. This role will support joint initiatives with the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection.

Commencement date: April 2024.

Employment Type: Part-time.

Work Format: Hybrid (online with some offline events).

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement communication strategies, plans, brand guidelines, and information events and campaigns. This may involve additional collaboration with a designer.
• Generate social media content ideas, create a publication schedule, and prepare content.
• Collaborate with a designer, including on visuals for social media posts.
• Develop video scripts and creative taglines.
• Approve project-related information materials (press releases, news, posts, fact sheets, talking points, etc.).
• Establish and maintain media relationships (event invitations, news pitches).
• Coordinate communication activities with government agencies and other project partners, as required.
• Assist in planning and organizing public events within the project(s) (press conferences, presentations, briefings, etc.).
• Approve the preparation of presentations for speeches.
• Analyze the effectiveness of communication campaigns.
• Coordinate media monitoring.
• Perform other tasks within his/her competence at the request of the management.

Candidate Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in communications (PR, marketing, SMM).
• Fluency in the Ukrainian language.
• Ability to quickly prepare texts.
• Proven track record of successful communication campaigns for government and social projects.
• English proficiency at C1-C2 level.
