About the Position
We are seeking a Data Analyst to support high-volume report migration, data mapping, report generation, and validation for an AWS-based Lakehouse platform in a banking environment. This role focuses on migrating legacy reports into the Lakehouse, primarily using the Redshift-based Data Warehouse, and ensuring that approximately 200–300 business, operational, and regulatory reports meet expected requirements before go-live.
Responsibilities
- Analyze legacy reports, business rules, data sources, and reporting logic.
- Support migration of legacy system reports into the Data Lakehouse and Redshift-based Data Warehouse.
- Perform data mapping from source systems to target reporting structures.
- Translate business and regulatory requirements into clear report specifications.
- Generate business, operational, and regulatory reports using Lakehouse and DWH data.
- Validate migrated reports against legacy outputs and business expectations.
- Perform data reconciliation, variance analysis, issue investigation, and root cause analysis.
- Support dashboard and operational report development for internal use after go-live.
- Work closely with business users, data engineers, and regulatory stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve reporting issues.
- Ensure reports are accurate, consistent, complete, and ready for go-live.

Required Skills
- Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
- Experience with Data Warehouse, data mapping, reporting, and dashboard development.
- Experience translating business requirements into data insights and operational reports.
- Hands-on experience in report migration, report validation, and reconciliation.
- Good understanding of reporting logic, data quality checks, and business rule documentation.
- Ability to work with business users and technical teams to clarify data and reporting requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume reporting workloads.

Domain Experience
- Banking domain experience is preferred.
- Experience with regulatory reporting, financial reporting, operational reporting, customer/account reports, transaction reports, risk, AML/KYC, or compliance reports is highly valuable.

Nice to Have
- Experience with Redshift, Athena, S3, Glue, Lake Formation, or other AWS data services.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Qlik, or similar BI/reporting tools.
- Understanding of Lakehouse architecture, data marts, and reporting data models.
- Experience working in Agile delivery teams using Jira and Confluence.

Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Finance, Banking, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Reporting Analyst, Business Data Analyst, BI Analyst, or similar role.
- Proven experience in data mapping, report migration, data validation, and stakeholder requirement analysis.
- Experience in banking, financial services, or regulated industries is an advantage.
