About the Position

Data Engineer PFS Admin & Tool (m/f/d)

T-Systems, part of the Deutsche Telekom Group, is seeking a Data Engineer to join our Network Control Platform team in Germany. This role focuses on real-time data processing pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Lifecycle Management: Responsible for the entire lifecycle management of a real-time data processing pipeline.
• Development & Optimization: Develop and optimize data pipelines (ETL).
• Integration: Integrate new data sources.
• Technology Implementation: Implement new technologies and tools to enhance data processing capabilities.
• Kubernetes Operations: Implement and operate in Kubernetes-based environments.
• System Monitoring: Ensure 24/7 availability through system monitoring and maintenance.
• Rollout Management: Manage rollouts throughout the entire application lifecycle based on ITIL/corporate processes (Incident/problem/change).
• Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Data Scientists and customers.
• Flexibility: Willingness to perform tasks outside of regular working hours.

Requirements

Must-have Requirements

• Programming Languages: Know-how in Java and Python.
• Big Data Technologies: Experience with Apache Kafka and Apache Flink.
• Optimization: Experience in optimizing data processing workflows.
• Analysis: Ability to analyze complex data structures and develop efficient solutions.
• Cloud & Container Technologies: Familiarity with cloud and container technologies, especially Kubernetes environments.
• DevOps Tools: Fundamental know-how in DevOps CI/CD tools (GitLab, Artifactory, Helm, Flux,...) and monitoring systems like Grafana, Promtail, Prometheus.
• Communication Skills: Strong teamwork and communication skills, especially in interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Language Skills: Good English skills, both written and spoken. Basic German skills would be advantageous.

• Experience in classic and agile forms of cooperation.
