Data Governance Specialist

About the Position

We are seeking a Data Governance Specialist to join our team. This role involves managing and analyzing large datasets, ensuring data quality and compliance. The position is full-time and can be performed remotely.

Responsibilities

• Data Management: Handle large datasets with exposure to multiple formats and TLog data.
• System Change and Data Corrections: Plan and follow up on operational activities, address data corrections, and track MSD tickets.
• Stakeholder Management & BAU Collaboration: Act as the internal SPOC for Ops and regional leadership teams, provide updates on KPIs, and manage data receipt from retailers.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks, including eDive primary testing of data, and RAP scoring.
• Opportunity Identification: Identify new operational efficiencies within existing retailers and collaborate with NOC and DA Analysts.

Requirements

• Technical Skills:

  • Experience with Python, FoxPro, and Cloud Platforms.
  • Understanding of SAP and transactional data handling.
  • Familiarity with FTP and MFT setup and maintenance.
  • Ability to extract, transform, load, and clean large data sets from multiple sources.
  • Proficiency in developing Unix/Python queries.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Extensive knowledge in Retail, specifically in POS and supply chain.
  • Understanding of factory processes.

• Analytical Skills:

  • Proficient in complex business process modeling and data modeling concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret different data structures and mapping.

Nice to Have

• Education: Master's Degree or technical institute degree/certificate in statistics or data analytics, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience: 3+ years of relevant professional work experience.
• Languages: Fluent in English; local market language skills (if required by markets).
