About the Position
Evoplay is one of the leading product IT companies in Ukraine, operating in the international market and creating comprehensive B2B solutions for the online gaming industry.
Currently, we are actively expanding our Legal team and are looking for a Data Protection Lawyer who will enhance the company's expertise in the field of personal data protection and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring compliance with personal data protection laws in various jurisdictions;
- Preparing, coordinating, and agreeing on personal data processing agreements;
- Close collaboration with the product team and providing consultations to ensure compliance with privacy and personal data protection laws;
- Handling requests from data subjects, addressing complaints, and incidents;
- Developing, maintaining, and implementing policies, procedures, standards, and instructions to ensure compliance with personal data protection laws;
- Conducting Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA), Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA), Legitimate Interest Assessments (LIA), etc.;
- Conducting regular internal audits to ensure compliance with personal data protection laws;
- Creating training materials for staff and conducting training on privacy and personal data protection.
Requirements
- Higher legal education;
- 3+ years of practical experience in the consulting industry or as an in-house specialist;
- 2+ years of practical experience in the field of personal data protection;
- Advanced legal English - both spoken and written, as all documents will be in English;
- A clear understanding of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other regulations in the field of personal data protection;
- Certification in privacy and personal data protection (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPM, or CIPT) is a plus;
- Experience with international standards (e.g., ISO27001, ISO27701) is a plus.
