Database Support Engineer (DSE) - Chennai, India

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with Exasol database (focus on SQL), drivers, connectivity from and to Exasol.
• Answer questions about the usage of Exasol database features.
• Collaborate closely with R&D and Project Management teams.
• Execute service activities to ensure timely and high-quality project deliverables.
• Maintain and update all forms of technical documentation.

Requirements

• University degree in IT or equivalent, or at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Advanced analytical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working in multicultural environments.
• Proven ability to liaise with stakeholders across various hierarchical levels.
• Technical expertise in:
  • Database and SQL, including SQL scripting.
  • Data Warehouse (DWH) and Business Intelligence (BI) architecture.
  • Database front-end, reporting tools, ETL tools, and drivers.
  • Programming languages such as Python, Lua, Java, or R.

• Effective database support.
• SLA ticket processing, incident management, and troubleshooting.
• Strong social skills and teamwork.
