About the Position

Deputy Head of the Human Rights Monitoring Department - Head of the Gender Equality Department

We are seeking a Deputy Head of the Human Rights Monitoring Department - Head of the Gender Equality Department to join our team at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

Responsibilities

  • Organizes the work of the Department and the Department, ensuring the high-quality and effective performance of the tasks and functions assigned to the Office.
  • Analyzes the state of ensuring equal rights and opportunities for women and men in the activities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Guard of Ukraine, and the Central Intelligence Agency.
  • Provides advisory assistance to the structural units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Guard of Ukraine, and the Central Intelligence Agency on ensuring equal rights and opportunities for women and men.
  • Coordinates the sector's coordination activities in the areas of combating trafficking in human beings, preventing domestic violence, and upholding the rights of the child.
  • Organizes and supervises the implementation of consideration and execution by employees of the department of requests, appeals of people's deputies of Ukraine, and appeals of citizens on ensuring equal rights and opportunities for women and men.
  • Prepares analytical reports and other documents to the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on ensuring equal rights and opportunities for women and men.
  • Participates in the development of draft regulatory acts concerning the activities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Guard of Ukraine, and the Central Intelligence Agency on ensuring equal rights and opportunities for women and men.
  • Ensures the implementation of regulations on the observance of equal rights and opportunities for women and men, the prevention and combating of discrimination on the basis of sex and sexual harassment.
  • Submits proposals to the Head of the Department on the appointment, dismissal, transfer of employees of the Department and the Department, as well as on the need to improve their qualifications.

Requirements

  • Education: Higher education with an educational degree not lower than a master's degree.
  • Work Experience: Experience in public service positions of categories “B” or “B” or experience of service in local self-government bodies, or experience in managerial positions of enterprises, institutions, and organizations, regardless of the form of ownership for at least two years.
  • Proficiency in the State Language: Fluency in the state language.

We Offer

  • Official salary - 15,100 UAH.
  • Allowances, surcharges, bonuses, and compensation in accordance with Article 52 of the Law of Ukraine “On Civil Service”.
  • Increase to the official salary for the rank of civil servant in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of January 18, 2017 No. 15 “The issue of remuneration of employees of state bodies” (as amended).
