Job Description, Responsibilities & Requirements
Über die Position
Behind every project we ship, there’s infrastructure that needs to be solid, secure, and cost-efficient. You’ll own that layer at Kainjoo - from provisioning and CI/CD to monitoring, cost management, and making sure our developers can move fast without breaking things in production.
Verantwortlichkeiten
- Provision and manage cloud infrastructure (DigitalOcean, AWS, GCP, or similar)
- Configure and maintain automated deployment pipelines
- Set up and manage CI/CD workflows - automated testing, staging deploys, production releases
- Maintain staging environments that closely mirror production
- Configure CDN, DNS, SSL, WAF, and security rules
- Manage caching layers, background workers, and queue infrastructure
- Set up application monitoring, uptime checks, and alerting
- Monitor and optimise cloud costs across client infrastructure
- Manage database backups, connection pooling, and performance tuning
- Implement security best practices: secrets management, firewall rules, environment isolation
- Support developers with local environment setup and staging configuration

Erfahrung
- 3+ years of DevOps or infrastructure engineering experience
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (DigitalOcean, AWS, or GCP)
- Experience with managed deployment platforms (Forge, Railway, Render, or similar)
- Strong understanding of Linux server administration
- Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar)
- Familiarity with containerisation (Docker)
- Awareness of cloud cost management and infrastructure optimisation
Nice to Have
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Pulumi)
- Familiarity with managed database and caching services
- Experience managing WebSocket or long-lived connection server deployments
- Background in monitoring stack setup (Grafana, Datadog, Sentry, or similar)
Bildung
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent practical experience
- AWS, GCP, or DigitalOcean certifications are a plus
- Fluent in English; French is a plus
