We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team and enhance our deployment and scaling processes.
Responsibilities
- Work with team members to build and maintain scalable, highly available, and high-performing systems
- Take part in maintaining and improving our deployment and scaling processes
- Work with Development and QA teams to support the automation of infrastructure, deployments, and pipeline delivery
- Work independently at times, you will also assist other team members on system and infrastructure-related issues when necessary
- Monitor production systems and respond to resolve issues
- Participate in on-call rotation as required
Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in DevOps, system administration, or related roles
- BS in Computer Science or comparable program
- Hands-on experience running a 24x7 production environment
- Strong knowledge of Linux administration
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Bash, Python, PowerShell)
- Experience with Azure cloud administration (VMs, networking, storage, etc.)
- Familiarity with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
- Understanding basic networking concepts (DNS, load balancing, firewalls)
- Hands-on experience with Azure ADO CI/CD pipelines
- Experience working with Docker and containerized applications
- Working knowledge of Helm for managing Kubernetes applications
- Troubleshooting skills to diagnose issues in cloud environments
- Good writing and communication skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or ARM templates
- Experience with monitoring tools like Azure Monitor, Prometheus, or Grafana
- Knowledge supporting relational & NOSQL databases
- Expected competencies
- Hands-on, practical operational expertise with Containers, Kubernetes, Helm, and supporting tools
- Experience with DevOps toolset and Linux administration
- Experience working with and supporting 24x7 high traffic sites
- Knowledge of CI/CD application delivery systems
- Knowledge in IT process automation such as backup and recovery, and deployment
- Experience in maintaining system and application monitoring applications
- Solid documentation skills and habits
- Solid time and project management skillset
- Exposure to GenAI tools & Github copilot
